10 years ago today, Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast of the United States and was one of the most deadliest natural disasters in U.S. history.
In addition to the tremendous loss of family, shelter, and food and water supplies, many hurricane victims lost their sense of community when the storm left cities and towns barely recognizable.
